There are many benefits to heat treatments for metals, from making the materials easier to weld and form, to increasing factors such as wear-resistance and durability.
Our pulse fired, gas fuelled, top-hat, 3-zone controlled heat treatment furnace at our base in Sheffield, allows us to treat loads of up to 3 tonnes, 6.6m (21.6’) long, and is loaded by an electro/hydraulic charging machine for increased power.

Quenchant/cooling types available:
- Water Quenching - two 30,000-litre pump circulated water quench tanks are available, complete with full temperature monitoring.
- Rapid Air Cooling
- Still Air Cooling
Our heat treatment facility holds approvals for ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Rolls-Royce Nuclear, and we also hold the NADCAP accreditation. As standard, we operate the furnace to AMS 2750 Pyrometry controls.
